So, I’ve all but made it! In the home stretch of my crazy weekend and still going. This helped, no question:
Ok… if there was any sort of photo editing software on my work PC, I would have cropped out the crap in the background and focused on the MASSIVE jug of caffinated goodness. I have never ordered myself an XL coffee, but when a staff memeber brought it for me today… I was thrilled! Also, they decided to gut the gas station in my parking lot and the Timmies will be closed for a MONTH! I may need a leave of absence :p
Yesterday’s Henry’s/Sport Chek double header thankfully went well. I think my head hit the pillow last night around 11! That’s gotta be a new record! We lucked out with a good counting crew and found few errors. I got to carry a gun most of the evening (a scanning gun, but if I didn’t share that bit it would have sounded cooler) until rescans were done anyway. Snuck away from the chaos for a minute to chow the last of my meatball stash :p
There is currently a pork shoulder defrosting to climb into the crock pot tonight. Mmmm…
Hockey this morning didn’t go so well. First game of playoffs, and with a goal scored by the other team with 6 seconds left, playoffs are over for “breaking balls”. You can laugh, I didn’t come up with that. Boys. Although, the team that beat us were the “rubber puckies”, so I feel a little better about our name. Ok. Before my 14.3 efforts on Friday I had watched a YouTube video about box jump technique and strategies to help get all stretched and ready to roll. One of which included rolling your lower legs (from just above the ankle to about half way up your calf ish) on a barbell. Tried it out and I will say my flexibility was better afterwards. However, this morning when I went for my first sprint down the floor at hockey… my ankles and heels were killing me! What the?! Maybe from jumping off shelving last night at Chek, but also maybe from the “stretching”? Other than that, my lower back was a bit sore post-14.3, but nothing major.
Anyone else sore from 14.3?
