Off to a slow start with a sore back, but better late than never. And I pledge to make up the 6 miles I missed! (Yes, 6. Counting August 3rd WOD run. Deal with it.)
Fri. August 8 (8:30pm) – 9:03 Not a fan of the post-work option, but even I was tired of my excuses. Wasn’t setting any expectations in terms of pace, but happy with my first result.
Sat. August 9 (7:15am) – 8:28 Note to self… 2 cups of coffee are not the best idea pre-run. Unless the sloshing in your stomach is something you are into. I’m not.
Sun. August 10 (9:00am) – 8:34, (10:00am) – 8:37 Got to the box early to get in my mile before the WOD. It felt like garbage. My legs felt heavy and my lungs were burning. Lame. Then what is the first part of our warmup? A mile run. :-p Well, it’s only day 3 and 1 mile made up. 5 to go.
August 11 (8:45am) – 8:39 Since I hopefully have plans for this evening, and also since I didn’t get to the box early enough to go through with the pre-WOD run, I got my mile in post-WOD. I made myself “embrace the suck”. Right Coach Dave? 😉
